To begin a Skills workshop program at your church please follow these steps:

Step 1. Identify your core team.

This would be anywhere from 2-8 people who you see as potential facilitators for the Men, Women, & Marriage Skills Workshops.

Pray, reach out to them, confirm they are available and interested to participate in a workshop as a student with a goal of attending trainings (in person or online) to become a facilitator. This is for pastors and staff as well.

One of TRR's core values is to "come from your own brokenness", which is why anyone who facilitates has to participate and complete the workshop as a student first.

Step 2. Planning the church calendar.

Look at your 12-18 month calendar and loosely plan where you'll put the Skills Workshops. Most churches start with Jan/Feb or Sept/Oct start date for MenSkills & WomenSkills Workshops, potentially adding in a MarriageSkills once those workshops are completed. Men and Women Skills take about 12-15 weeks from start to finish, MarriageSkills is about 10 weeks, and our Level II and III Skills Workshops are about 6-8 weeks.

TRR admin can help you with this once you've identified your core team and have church leadership on board.

Note: We can bring in TRR Facilitators to pilot your first MenSkills & WomenSkills workshops. Your pilot workshops for MenSkills and WomenSkills would be 8-10 men & 8-10 women. We encourage the pilot workshops to be a mixture of your identified core team, staff, leaders, volunteers, and spouses. A good goal is "leadership multiplication" through identifying, equipping and empowering people to facilitate.

Cost: The Partner church purchases the MenSkills and/or WomenSkills workbooks, $50 each plus tax from TRR. For a pilot workshop led by a certified TRR Facilitator, we ask that a payment of $400 be directly paid to the facilitator for their time and commitment to the 12-15 week workshop. The partner church oversees the registrations and sets the cost for their own Skills workshops attendees (book included).

Log in to the Facilitator Portal and order your workbooks through our online store with a debit or credit card. Please order your workbooks two weeks in advance of your workshop to ensure that we can get the workbooks to you in time.
